Villa Sarchi, a type of coffee that works in Costa Rica with high winds. Tastes awesome, savory, and produced beautifully.

This coffee hails from Grecia, Costa Rica. Costa Rica is known for it’s commitment to conservation. The sheer determination to use less water in growing and processing coffee has yielded unparalleled results in the cup.

Marcos & Maricela Oviedo are third generation producers on Finca (Spanish for farm) Sircof. The Red Black Honey process they utilize produces a very interesting flavor. It’s sweet and the character isn’t cloudy like some Natural-process coffee is. We get aroma and fragrance that reminds us of a natural cola or Thai basil. This presents itself with a cereal-like flavor you might find reminiscent of Honey Nut Cheerios (or Cinnamon Toast Crunch). While we are waxing poetic on the flavors above, this is just a great cup of coffee. Put cream and sugar in it and you will know it’s a marked difference better than whatever else you were drinking.

We hope you’ll enjoy this as much as we do, it’s roasted to a degree that works well as a brewed coffee, cold brew, or espresso.

We recommend

1:16 / coffee:water ratio

on a pour-over or coffeemaker

&

1:2.3 / coffee:yield ratio

for espresso
